ROCB Europe Team Engages in COP29 Seminar at ADA University on Water and Climate Action

On July 26 2024 The Regional Office for Capacity Building (ROCB) Europe actively participated in the COP29 seminar titled "Water at the Heart of Climate Action", held at ADA University in Baku. The seminar was led by Meike van Ginneken, a prominent expert in water and climate policy, and brought together stakeholders from academia, international organizations, and the public sector to discuss the pivotal role of water in addressing climate change challenges. This event aligns with the broader initiatives of COP29, where water has been recognized as a central element in climate discussions. Notably, the Baku Dialogue on Water and Climate Action was launched, emphasizing the integration of water-related issues into climate policies and actions. IISD ENB ROCB Europe's participation underscores its comm+54itment to engaging in multidisciplinary dialogues that intersect customs operations, environmental sustainability, and climate resilience. By contributing to such forums, ROCB Europe aims to enhance its strategies in capacity building, ensuring that customs administrations are equipped to handle the environmental dimensions of trade and border management.
