ROCB Europe to Join International Seminar on Combating Smuggling and Drug Trafficking in Kyrgyz Republic

The Regional Office for Capacity Building (ROCB) Europe is set to participate in an upcoming international seminar titled “Countering Smuggling and Methods of Combating Drug Trafficking”, scheduled for 3–6 September 2024 in Cholpon-Ata, located in the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic. This event is jointly organized with the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek and aims to enhance collaborative efforts and share effective strategies in the fight against smuggling and drug trafficking. The seminar will convene international experts, law enforcement officials, and customs authorities to discuss and develop comprehensive approaches to counter illicit trade and narcotics trafficking. Key topics will include the latest trends in smuggling, innovative detection methods, and inter-agency cooperation mechanisms. ROCB Europe's involvement underscores its commitment to strengthening regional capacities and fostering international collaboration in addressing transnational security threats. By engaging in such initiatives, ROCB Europe continues to support the development of effective customs practices and the implementation of international standards across the WCO Europe Region.
